The client's June wedding was to be held in a rural Iowa church. The reception was in the last round barn in that county. She wanted a book that would serve to hold wedding notes, and shower memorabilia, and double as the guest book and photo album. In addition, she had a ring without a stone that was to be used if at all possible in the construction of the book.
We decided on a square book with heavily textured hand made paper for the end sheets, label enclosure and envelopes. The covers were made from a piece of barn wood with patchy white paint milled to ¼ inch thick. The front cover has a diamond shaped window containing the client's ring. The book was sewn onto gray silk straps with a herring bone stitch.
Size: 8-1/4 x 8-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches.
